LME zinc prices overnight edged up in the morning session with SHFE zinc prices.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 13 (SMM) – LME zinc prices overnight edged up in the morning session with SHFE zinc prices. EU Commission President said they should improve the stability of European banking sector, while Slovakia's statesmen said the expansion of European Financial Stability Fund is expected to pass this week, boosting market confidence. As a result, LME zinc prices remained steady between USD 1,950-1,970/mt, touching USD 1,978/mt and closing at USD 1,952/mt. SHFE three-month zinc contract prices should move between RMB 15,100-15,400/mt today, with discounts of negative RMB 0-100/mt against SHFE 1112 zinc contract prices.
