SMM Morning Review - 2011/10/11 Zinc Market

LME zinc prices surged to USD 1,959/mt at a time, and finally closed at USD 1,949/mt.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 11 (SMM) – German Chancellor and French President pledged they will take measures to support the banking sector, and help resolve Greek debt crisis. As a result, the euro rose, weighing down the US dollar index to 78. LME zinc prices surged to USD 1,959/mt at a time, and finally closed at USD 1,949/mt, up USD 31/mt. SHFE three-month zinc contract prices should rise to RMB 15,100-15,400/mt today, while spot discounts against SHFE 1112 zinc contract prices will remain between RMB 20-120/mt.
