SHANGHAI, Sept. 2 (SMM) -- Zijin Mining Group released its Midyear Report for 2011. According to the report, the company produced 109,151.70 mt of zinc in 1H, down 1.23% from 110,513.80 mt in the same period last year.
Zinc ingot output from its Bayannaoer Zijin Subsidiary was 93,924.85 mt, up 3.19% YoY. (91,022.68 mt in the same period last year).
The total volume of zinc content in its zinc concentrate output was 15,226.85 mt, down 21.88% on a YoY basis (19,491.12 mt in the same period last year). The zinc content volume in zinc concentrate output from Urad Back Banner Zijin Mining was 7,826.15 mt, down 26.66% YoY (10,671.22 mt in the same period last year). The zinc concentrate produced by Ashele Copper Mine contained 6,129.02 mt of zinc, while other enterprises produced zinc concentrate with total zinc content of 1,271.68 mt.
Zijin Mining planned to smelt 200 kt of zinc in 2011, with 46.96% finished during 1H, and produce 34.9 kt of zinc ore, with 43.63% finished in 1H. The company will not adjust its output plan at present, but there is still a possibility of revising the production plan based on actual situation.
