LME zinc prices overnight fell slightly during Asian trading hours, then edged up as of the midday.

SHANGHAI, Sept. 1 (SMM)--LME zinc prices overnight fell slightly during Asian trading hours, then edged up as of the midday. US private sector added 91,000 jobs in August, while Chicago PMI for August and factory orders in July were both better than forecasts, boosting LME zinc prices to USD 2,300/mt. But LME zinc prices failed to break through that level, with prices closing at USD 2,290/mt, up USD 8/mt. SHFE three-month zinc contract prices should continue fluctuating between RMB 17,250-17,550/mt, with spot discounts expanding to RMB 200-250/mt against SHFE 1110 zinc contract prices.
