MOC Reports 3.3% Decline in #1 Refined Nickel Prices

SHANGHAI, Jun. 29 (SMM) --The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that base metal prices fell by 0.5% during the week from June 20 to 26, with #1 nickel prices falling the largest by 3.3%.

It was reported that, prices for ore products were down by 0.8% with zinc ore prices down by 2.3%.

The Lisbon-based International Nickel Study Group (INSG) released data on Monday March 21, showing that in January 2022, the global nickel market was oversupplied by 6,000 mt, while there was a supply shortage of 5,300 mt in the same period last year.
