LONDON, Feb 16 -- The global copper market was in surplus by 20,000 metric tons in 2010, the World Bureau of Metal Statistics said Wednesday.
This compares with a surplus of 410,000 tons in 2009.
Global copper consumption in 2010 was 19.23 million tons, compared with 18.24 million tons in 2009. Global refined copper production in 2010 was 19.25 million tons, up 3.2% from the year before.
