Hindustan Copper Cuts Product Prices For June By About 8.5%-8.7%

MUMBAI, Jun 01, 2010 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- State-run Hindustan Copper Ltd. (513599.BY) said Tuesday it has lowered product prices for June by about 8.5%-8.7% from May.

The company said it has provisionally priced its standard copper rods of eight millimeters in diameter at INR349,303 a metric ton for June, down from INR382,125/ton last month.

Copper rods of more than eight millimeters in diameter have been provisionally priced at INR350,283-INR352,734/ton, compared with INR383,076-INR385,454/ton in May.

The price of copper cathode full for June has been provisionally fixed at INR343,422/ton, lower than last month's INR376,418/ton.

The company didn't give any reason for the price cut.
