Chalco Cuts Alumina Spot Price By 5% To CNY2,850/Ton

HONG KONG, June 1 -- Aluminum Corp of China Ltd. (2600.HK) has cut its alumina spot price by 5% to CNY2,850 a metric ton, effective Tuesday, the company said on its website.

The company, also known as Chalco, had been selling alumina at CNY3,000/ton before the cut.

Alumina is the raw material used to produce aluminum.
