SHANGHAI, Mar. 16 -- On March 15th, Vale Inco announced that the company will ramp up mine production at Sudbury using non-union labor to feed the one operating furnace at its Cliff smelter in Canada.
On March 7th, talks between Vale and the United Steelworkers union collapsed, and this was why Vale employed non-union labor to ensure production.
Vale expects Copper Cliff to run at full capacity at the end of 2Q 2010.
