Vale Cuts down Nickel Output Forecast but Keeps bullish at its Long-term Demand

-Brazilian mining company Vale cut down its nickel output forecast in future five years on Wednesday, but the company kept bullish at long-term development of nickel ore.

SHANGHAI, Dec.7 (SMM)-Brazilian mining company Vale cut down its nickel output forecast in future five years on Wednesday, but the company kept bullish at long-term development of nickel ore because of potential surge in electric vehicles demand. Vale lowers its nickel output in 2018 by 15% to 263,000 tons and claims its nickel mine New Caledonia is still seeking investors.
