SHANGHAI Dec. 7 (CBI China)--The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) jointly issued the Catalogue of Technology and Products Encouraged to Import. This document details which technology, products, and raw materials the Chinese Central Government will give financial support to import or develop. The catalogue consists of four parts:
1) advanced technology encouraged to import;
2) significant equipments encouraged to import;
3) key industries encouraged to develop;
4) resources products and raw materials encouraged to import (including nickel, chrome, uranium, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, tantalum ores and concentrates, copper concentrate, zinc concentrate, polysilicon, polyimide granules).
The MOF and MOFCOM will promulgate their own detailed support measures in the near future.
Financial support for the importation of resource products and raw materials is helpful for Chinese smelters in order to reduce production costs and increase output, further boosting domestic self-sufficiency rates of refined products in the non-ferrous metals industry.
