Republicans in Congress plan to vote against Trump tariff

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump (Donald Trump) announced that with effect from June 10, he would impose a 5 per cent tariff on all imports from Mexico. He also said that if Mexico does not make significant progress in preventing illegal immigrants from entering the United States, tariffs on all Mexican imports will rise to 25 percent on October 1 this year. In response to the tariff increase resolution, Republicans in the US Congress are said to have begun to discuss whether to take some action against Trump's recent protectionist threat. Because it could threaten the relationship between the United States, Mexico and Canada.
