SMM Daily Comments (Apr 7): Most SHFE Base Metals Gained Ground with Nickel Surging over 3%, Silver Refreshed New High

The US dollar fluctuated slightly today. As of 15:25 CST, the US dollar index rose 0.01%.

As of the closing of the intraday trading, SHFE nickel rose 3.39%, SHFE copper and lead gained more than 0.6%, SHFE aluminum advanced 0.51%, SHFE zinc rose 0.18%; SHFE tin fell 0.45%. Coke fell 0.45%, iron ore rose 0.13%, coking coal, hot-rolled coil, and rebar rose about 1%. Stainless steel rose 1.76%.

Shanghai gold rose 0.06%; Shanghai silver once soared to 5,606 yuan/g, a new high since June 17, 2021.
