According to data from the World Gold Council, in March, the average daily global gold trading volume was $183 billion, a surge of 25% from the previous month and the highest level in a year. That's 39% higher than the $132 billion daily average in 2022. Gold transactions were brisk across all regions of the world, with average daily trading volume in the physical gold market up 7% month-on-month, while trading volumes in exchange-based gold derivatives and gold ETFs also soared 57% and 51% respectively.
