SMM9 March 29: Lunding Mining said recently that its Chapada copper and gold processing activities in Brazil have been disrupted.
It is reported that the power outage occurred in the mine on the morning of September 23, and after the power supply was restored, the protection system of the substation malfunctioned again. After the power outage was restored, four SAG and ball mills were damaged.
The company is currently assessing the impact of the incident on motors, while noting that the machines will be removed from the mining area and undergo deep repairs.
After a fatal accident at its Neves-Corvo mine in Portugal on September 25th, the company said it would step up safety protection for its employees and raise safety awareness for all.
