SHANGHAI, Jun 26 (SMM) – Prices of cobalt intermediate products stabilised last week, as the cost-driven increase in prices of overseas refined cobalt persisted. Large shipments of these products are expected in September and October, owing to mining companies fulfilling their earlier orders and tight land transport capacity in the D.R. Congo. Meanwhile, on the demand side, cobalt salt enterprises, having earlier replenished their inventories, were reluctant to accept high-priced intermediate products due to a pessimistic outlook. This predicts a stabilisation of cobalt intermediate product prices.
