The Chinese economy got off to a strong start in the first quarter. Against the backdrop of significantly slowing global economy and persistently high inflation in major economies, China’s economy rebounded at a relatively fast pace, with the GDP growing 4.5% YoY in Q1, with the growth rate up 1.6 percentage points from the fourth quarter last year, laying a solid foundation to achieve the full-year target, spokeswoman of the National Development and Reform Commission said at a press conference. This clearly demonstrates the great resilience and potential of the Chinese economy.
