SMM12 March 15: recently, the National Federation of Malian Workers ((UNTM)), Mali's main trade union, issued a statement that it had begun a five-day strike on Monday to protest against wages. The strike will affect the operation of many gold mines in the country. The organization represents 80% of the country's unionized workers, including miners, teachers and health system workers.
Mali is one of the largest gold producers in Africa, with miners operating in the country including (Barrick Gold Corp), the Barrick gold company, and (Resolute Mining), the Resolute mining company.
This has a certain positive support for precious metal prices under the pressure of factors such as the current US economic stimulus package continued to be difficult to give birth and many countries around the world have been vaccinated one after another.
