CPCA: Retail Sales of NEVs in China Total 215,000 Units in the First Three Weeks of February, up 43% YoY

According to China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), from February 1 to February 19, retail sales of passenger cars in China stood at 730,000 units, down 9% MoM. A total of 2.02 million units of vehicles were retailed this year, a year-on-year decrease of 26%; domestic passenger car manufacturers wholesaled 749,000 units, an increase of 2% year-on-year and an increase of 1% MoM. The up-to-date wholesales were 2.2 million units, down 25% YoY. From February 1 to February 19, 215,000 units of NEVs were retailed, up 43% year-on-year and down 4% MoM. The up-to-date retail totalled 546,000 units, up 9% on the year. Automakers wholesaled 284,000 units of NEVs from February 1 to February 19, an increase of 37% year-on-year and up 27% from the same period last month. The up-to-date wholesales were 673,000 units, up 8% year-on-year.
