SMM Nov 11th – According to the China Three Gorges Corporation, on November 8th, the Dongshan offshore photovoltaic project located in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, achieved grid connection for its first batch of equipment, laying the foundation for full-capacity grid connection by the end of the year. Currently, the project's construction progress has reached 70%, with the completed first batch of equipment taking the lead in grid-connected power generation. Full-capacity grid connection is expected to be achieved by the end of this year. Upon full-capacity grid connection, the project will produce 300 million kWh of clean energy annually, saving over 90,000 tonnes of standard coal each year. In the future, the project will explore a combination of photovoltaic power generation and aquaculture, realizing "generating power above, fish farming below" to further promote the comprehensive utilization of offshore resources.
