He said: "This is a serious problem. The US policy is too tough, and it makes other countries want to abandon the dollar."
Musk made the remarks while commenting on a series of tweets by a Twitter user on the issue of "de-dollarisation." He added: "Excessive government spending forces other countries to absorb a large part of our inflation."
