[SMM Data] May Manganese Ore Imports Increased Overall, with Significant Growth from Australia and Brazil

According to the General Administration of Customs, China's manganese ore imports were 2.44 million mt in May, down 14.02% MoM and 3.3% YoY. The imports in January-May totalled 11.88 million mt, up 14.78% YoY. Among them, imports of South African manganese ore were 1,221,482.850 mt, versus 481,110.1mt for Ghanaian manganese ore imports, 445,671.229 mt for Gabonese manganese ore, 88,789.5 mt for Australian manganese ore, and 84,173.447 mt for Ivorian manganese ore, together accounting for 95.1% of the total. It is expected that manganese ore imports will increase in June.
