On April 17, Gou Xingtao, deputy director of the Changchun Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, publicly introduced that all the five main engine factories of FAW Group in Changchun had resumed work, and the cumulative number of people returning to work had exceeded 7000.

According to previous news, affected by the epidemic, the above five mainframe factories have stopped production since March 13. Then, with the gradual improvement of epidemic prevention and control in Changchun and Jilin cities, FAW Hongqi Ulsan Plant, FAW-Volkswagen, FAW Fengyue realized the whole vehicle off the line, FAW Pentium and FAW Liberation completed production line debugging, and started production on the 17th.

It is understood that 25117 of FAW Group's 276 spare parts suppliers have returned to work, and production is gradually resuming.

It is well known in the industry that the impact of the new epidemic on the automobile supply chain is not only in Jilin Province, but also in Shanghai, and is gradually spreading to all cities up and down the industrial chain. But the good news is that on the evening of April 16, the Shanghai Economic and Informatization Commission formally issued the guidelines on the Prevention and Control of epidemic situation in Shanghai Industrial Enterprises (first Edition), which mentioned that in order to comprehensively promote epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, under the premise of compacting the main responsibility of enterprises and ensuring that risks can be controlled, implement closed-loop management, effectively promote enterprises to resume work and production effectively, and ensure the safety and stability of the industrial chain supply chain. Formulate a series of guidelines and norms for epidemic prevention and control.

Up to now, in addition to the five main engine plants and upstream supplier enterprises of FAW Group in Changchun, Xilai Automobile has also announced that it is gradually restoring production capacity, and SAIC will resume production one after another on April 18.
