[SMM Enterprise Updates] Qingqiji Electrolyzer Passed Rigorous Acceptance of the Zhongtian Hechuang 10kt-Level Green Hydrogen Project on the First Attempt in Three Consecutive Sampling Inspections

Recently, under the joint witness of Sinopec Group Materials and Equipment Company, the project owner Zhongtian Hechuang, Sinopec Engineering Incorporation, Nanjing Sanfang Chemical Equipment Supervision Company, and TÜV NORD, an internationally authoritative inspection and certification body, the electrolyzers delivered by Qingqiji for the Zhongtian Hechuang green hydrogen project passed stringent random sampling acceptance tests three times in succession.All three sampled units passed acceptance on the first attempt, with all performance indicators exceeding the requirements of the technical agreement and energy efficiency reaching a globally leading level, earning high recognition from the project owner.

The Industry's Most Stringent Assessment, a Perfect Score

As the second 10,000-tonne green hydrogen project deployed domestically by Sinopec, the lead enterprise in China's hydrogen energy chain, the Zhongtian Hechuang green hydrogen project had rigid schedule requirements for the on-time and high-quality delivery of key equipment. Throughout the entire process from tendering to acceptance, the project was described by the industry as the most stringent test to date in the green hydrogen sector — the tender conditions covered all-round thresholds in terms of performance record, testing, finance, and credibility, and the acceptance stage imposed a hard constraint of "return if failed."

In the industry's most stringent assessment, Qingqiji delivered a perfect score on the strength of its solid technical capabilities and delivery confidence: all three sampled units passed on the first attempt, and among the three suppliers, it passed testing with the best performance and completed batch delivery the fastest. The significance of this result was not only that Qingqiji passed the quality test of the central state-owned enterprise leading China's hydrogen energy chain, but also that it proved that technologically innovative high-end circular electrolyzers can meet the technical and economic requirements of 10,000-tonne-scale green hydrogen projects. With measured data that demonstrated "bold commitments and reliable delivery," Qingqiji safeguarded the technical bottom line and industry credibility of the entire electrolyzer industry.

Hard Measured Data, Comprehensive Performance Leadership

Field measured data showed that the three sampled units operated continuously under rated conditions. At a rated current density of 4,000 A/m², the DC power consumption of all three units measured by the current method reached3.98 kWh/Nm³H₂, the best level in the industry; their energy consumption measured by the flow meter method was even more outstanding, at only 4.153 kWh/Nm³H₂, 4.147 kWh/Nm³H₂, and 4.161 kWh/Nm³H₂, respectively.

In the electrolyzer cold-start tests, the cold-start times of the first two units were only 35 minutes and 27 minutes, respectively, and the third unit's cold-start time was even as fast as 25 minutes. In addition, multi-dimensional tests, including 25%-110% load regulation, oxygen content in hydrogen, and hydrogen content in oxygen, all passed acceptance smoothly on the first attempt.

Such a high degree of consistency was not accidental; it was a declaration of quality from batch shipments on Qingqiji's production line, and it also meant that every electrolyzer delivered by Qingqiji to the Zhongtian Hechuang project had the same high-standard performance baseline. With the results of three random sampling inspections, Qingqiji proved that in the electrolyzer industry, large-scale rapid batch delivery capability can be achieved simultaneously with optimal technical indicators.

A single unit meeting standards may rely on careful commissioning, but the consistent best performance in random sampling inspections depends on the quality control capability of Qingqiji's large-scale delivery system. At the same time, this was also inseparable from the strong support of partners along Qingqiji's supply chain. It was precisely their full cooperation that enabled Qingqiji to complete the delivery task with high quality in a short period. "Go fast alone, go far together" — Qingqiji well understands that the development of the green hydrogen industry requires upstream and downstream collaboration across the industry chain.

Quality as the Foundation, Integrity for the Long Run

Qingqiji has always upheld the value of "integrity and reliability," insisting on verifying its technical strength with real industrial project data. This commitment has been repeatedly validated in a number of national-level green hydrogen benchmark projects.

In 2025, Qingqiji delivered its new-generation electrolyzers to the PetroChina Yumen Oilfield project. Under the joint witness of BV, an internationally authoritative third-party certification body, and the project owner, the DC energy consumption at a current density of 4,000 A/m² dropped to 3.99 kWh/Nm³H₂, and the measured electrolyzer energy efficiency ranked first in the industry. In addition, in China Huaneng Group's 1,300 Nm³H₂ photovoltaic hydrogen production project, Qingqiji's "Large-Power Flexible Off-Grid Photovoltaic Dynamic Electrolytic Hydrogen Production System" was selected for the National Energy Administration's 2025 Fifth List of Major First (Set) Technical Equipment in the Energy Sector. Then, in this Zhongtian Hechuang project, it passed the stringent tests with the best performance and fastest delivery. Behind this was Qingqiji's unwavering commitment to technology and integrity and its ultimate pursuit of excellent quality.
