JSW Steel has started building a 2 million tonnes per year integrated steel mill in Andhra Pradesh's Rayalaseema region, with total investment of about 163.5 billion INR (1.96 billion USD). The project, implemented by wholly-owned subsidiary JSW Rayalaseema Steel Limited, will be built in two phases: Phase 1 invests 45 billion INR (540 million USD) for 1 Mt/y of low-carbon steel capacity; Phase 2 adds 118.5 billion INR (1.42 billion USD) to double capacity to 2 Mt/y. The plant will use scrap-based EAF technology powered by renewable energy. Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister and JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal attended the launch ceremony. The project is part of JSW's long-term strategy to expand production capacity.

Vietnamese steelmaker Hoa Phat is supplying thousands of tonnes of prestressed steel strands to major infrastructure projects across Vietnam, helping replace imports and support construction schedules. Hoa Phat is the only Vietnamese manufacturer producing PC strands with a fully integrated process using Italian technology, from billet to finished product, ensuring consistent quality, stable supply, and compliance with stringent technical standards. The strands have been supplied to multiple major bridge projects nationwide. Hoa Phat said domestic production supports Vietnam's infrastructure development while reducing reliance on imported materials.

SMS group has received an order from Baosteel Steel Pipe (Ma'anshan) Science and Technology Co., Ltd. to supply two PQF® seamless tube rolling lines in Ma'anshan. SMS will provide core equipment, Level 1 automation, technological measurement systems, and CARTAneo® process technology software for both plants. Each line is designed with annual capacity of nearly 1.18 million tonnes. First pipe production is scheduled for Q4 2027.
