[SMM Magnesium News] Breakthrough in Research on Agglomeration Combustion Mechanism of Aluminum-Magnesium Composite Propellants. The latest experiments have found that in fuel-rich propellants containing 40% metal particles, when the aluminum content increases from 20% to 35%, the combustion rate increases by an average of 7.7%. The study, through laser start production devices, observed for the first time that aluminum particles not only agglomerate on the combustion surface but also undergo processes such as merging, expansion, ejection, and fragmentation after detachment, and established a new-type agglomeration size prediction model.
