O2 Power, a prominent renewable energy company in India, has won an 800 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project through a competitive bidding process organized by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) – FDRE VI. This project integrates solar energy with other resources to ensure electricity supply during non-solar peak periods.

Situated near an active CTUIL substation in Rajasthan, the project takes advantage of the area's significant solar and land resources. It also leverages existing power infrastructure to minimize delays, aligning with the government's renewable energy goals. The project is set for completion within 24 months of signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

Parag Sharma, Founder and CEO of O2 Power, emphasized, “This venture strengthens our resolve to lead India’s shift to clean energy. O2 Power remains committed to delivering innovative, cost-effective renewable solutions, advancing towards a sustainable future.”
