This week, the price of ternary precursors has remained stable. On the cost side, nickel sulfate price has slightly raised since the beginning of the week, with an increase of 125 yuan per ton, while cobalt and manganese sulfates prices have remained stable. In terms of demand, as we approach the end of the month, some ternary cathode material merchants have started a new round of monthly procurement this week, leading to an increase in inquiries in the market.

On the supply side, some ternary precursor merchants have not obtained expected demand in August, leading to a possible decrease in production scheduling for September, with most of the increment in August concentrated in leading companies.

Ternary precursor price is expected to remain stable, but with the rebound expectation for nickel sulfate, and with ternary precursor merchants constantly compromising on prices, the cost inversion is serious, and later the mindset of merchants sticking to their own price points will be strengthened.

[Li Xiang: Humanoid robots still at least 3 years behind EVs]
May 28 – Li Xiang, chairman of Li Auto, said at the company's first-quarter earnings call today that it will take at least three years for humanoid robots to reach the same level of development as the electric vehicle industry. "Many technical challenges remain unsolved, and there is still no consensus on multiple technological pathways," he said. Li added that startups, midsize firms, and large companies alike will all enter the humanoid robotics sector.
