The main reason is the decrease in exports to China. The FOB (Free On Board) price per tonne was US$10,307. From January to July, Chile's cumulative exports of lithium salts amounted to 158,000 tonnes, up 25% year-on-year.
In July, Chile exported 15,800 tonnes of lithium salts (mainly lithium carbonate) to China, a month-on-month decrease of 9% and a year-on-year increase of 73%, accounting for 72% of Chile's total exports in July. From January to July, Chile's cumulative exports of lithium salts to China totaled 116,000 tonnes.
