To promote the development of global carbon peak and carbon neutrality and facilitate the high-grade NPI industry clients in better advancing the energy-saving and carbon-reducing industrial upgrade in the non-ferrous metals industry, and to timely reflect the spot market conditions, reduce trading risks and costs, and continuously improve and deepen the research of the industrial chain, SMM, after deliberation and market surveys, plans to launch low-carbon high-grade NPI index from June 25 for market reference and use.

To promote the development of global carbon peak and carbon neutrality and facilitate the high-grade NPI industry clients in better advancing the energy-saving and carbon-reducing industrial upgrade in the non-ferrous metals industry, and to timely reflect the spot market conditions, reduce trading risks and costs, and continuously improve and deepen the research of the industrial chain, SMM, after deliberation and market surveys, plans to launch low-carbon high-grade NPI index from June 25 for market reference and use.

Price Details

1. Price (Product) Standard

Referencing the national standard "GBT 28296-2012 NPI," with a nickel content of 8%-15%.

2. Main Requirements for Low-Carbon High-Grade NPI Producers

Low-carbon high-grade NPI producers' carbon emissions per mt of nickel must be more than 20% lower than the industry high-grade NPI carbon emissions per mt of nickel.

3. Delivery Method

Buyer self-pickup; transportation methods include automobile transportation, rail transportation, or sea transportation.

4. Payment Method

Cash payment via bank remittance

5. Delivery Location

Seller's warehouses and major ports.

6. Pricing Unit

yuan/mtu.

7. Presentation Form

Presented in the form of an index (index accurate to the integer), including tax (13% VAT included).

8. Release Time

11:00-11:10 AM Every working day (excluding Chinese statutory holidays and weekends).

MHP payables (against SMM battery-grade nickel sulphate index) stood at 86-87, and the MHP cobalt element payable indicator (against SMM refined cobalt (Rotterdam warehouse)) was 94. The FOB price of Indonesian high-grade nickel matte was $15,623/mt Ni.
