[SMM Lithium Carbonate Spot Assessment: LC2407 main contract continued to decline, down 3.38%] On February 20, the lithium carbonate 2407 main contract continued to decline, down 3.38%. Data showed that the lithium carbonate 2407 main contract opened at RMB 95,000/mt, closed at RMB 92,800/mt, with trading volume of 103,744 lots and open interest of 173,155 lots, up 24,248 lots from the previous trading day. SMM’s assessment of spot battery-grade lithium carbonate prices were RMB 94,000-99,500/mt, averaging RMB 96,750/mt, down RMB 150/mt from the previous working day. The trend shows that after opening, lithium carbonate prices oscillated and held steady before declining significantly by 2.86% and then holding stable. After the noon opening, the main contract declined in oscillation. Prices rebounded slightly towards the end of the session but eventually closed down 3.38%.
