"The 2 million kilowatt photovoltaic desert control project of the Mengxi Base Kubuqi, jointly invested and constructed by Three Gorges Energy and Yili Clean Energy, recently achieved full capacity grid connection in Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. This is currently the largest single-scale ecological photovoltaic desert control project in China. The project produces an average of 4.1 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity annually, saving 1.23 million tons of standard coal consumption per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 3.198 million tons, reducing sulfur dioxide emissions by 29,500 tons, reducing nitrogen oxide emissions by 8,600 tons, and reducing particulate matter emissions by 12,300 tons.
