China exported 16,400 mt of unwrought aluminium alloy in April, down 35.2% year on year and down 16.5% month on month.
The total exports from January to April were 73,500 mt, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%.
The top five suppliers of China’s unwrought aluminium alloy imports from January to April are Malaysia (38,900 mt), Vietnam (14,700 mt), Thailand (7,900 mt), South Korea (7,800 mt) and Russia (3,900 mt), accounting for 41.6%, 15.7%, 8.5%, 8.3% and 4.2% respectively. The rank is the same as March. Imports from Malaysia increased from 36.1% in March, and the remaining suppliers accounted for only about 20%.
In April, the amount of unwrought aluminium alloys exported to Japan was 10,000 mt, accounting for 62%, mainly through tolling trade. Exports to South Korea were 2,000 mt, accounting for 13%. Japan and South Korea accounted for more than 70% of the total.
