According to China Customs, Chinese import volume of unwrought aluminium alloy was 93,600 mt in April 2023, a year-on-year decrease of 11.7% and a month-on-month decrease of 4.8%.
The imports totalled 360,800 mt from January to April, a year-on-year decrease of 17.1%.
China exported 16,400 mt of unwrought aluminium alloy in April, down 35.2% year on year and down 16.5% month on month.
The top five importers in China in April were Zhejiang (34,200 mt), Guangdong (18,200 mt), Fujian (13,200 mt), Jiangsu (10,400 mt) and Shandong (5,000 mt), accounting for 36.6%, 19.4%, 14.1%, 11.1% and 5.4% respectively. The total proportion of the above regions exceeded 85%.
