Nord shares stated that after rigorous early-stage due diligence and site selection, it plans to invest in the establishment of a production base in Wallonia, Belgium, Europe. The first phase of the project plans to invest in the construction of a lithium battery copper foil project with an annual production capacity of 30,000 mt, 1 million pieces of FDC, and 1 million PI heating films. The total project investment is expected to be 500 million euros.
The company's investment project will help develop the technical expertise of the Belgian state of Wallonia in the battery industry, and at the same time, it can lay out the company's overseas market, improve the influence of serving overseas customers and the supply chain guarantee system, and further enhance the company's stickiness with overseas customers.
The company's copper foil production base and copper foil research and development centre can further strengthen the existing battery ecosystem in Wallonia, Belgium, and at the same time create direct and indirect employment opportunities for Wallonia, Belgium, support its economic and export growth, and contribute to the development of "green transportation".
