Last week, the average operating rate of galvanising enterprises rose 1.1 percentage points from the previous week to 62.44%. Downstream buyers bought at lows as needed, and the raw material inventory increased slightly. In terms of operating rate, ferrous metals prices stopped falling last week, and orders increased. Some downstream dealers replenished stocks after inventory dropped, which drove galvanised pipe companies to increase production slightly.
In terms of galvanised structural parts, orders at plants in Sichuan, Anhui and Zhejiang increased as they won galvanised steel tower orders after Chinese New Year holidays, and the operating rate was high. In terms of light poles, some enterprises suffered losses due to insufficient orders and lower processing fees. The enthusiasm for production weakened; orders for agricultural greenhouses and high-speed railways were stable, and there has been no major change in the operating rates of enterprises. The operating rates of galvanising plants are expected to grow slightly this week.
