A report released by the United Nations on Tuesday showed that the global economic growth rate in 2023 is expected to be 2.3%, an increase of 0.4 percentage point from the agency's January forecast, and the forecast for 2024 was lowered by 0.2 percentage point to 2.5%.
The increase in its global economic growth forecast for this year mainly because the economic prospects of the United States, Europe and China have improved compared with the previous survey. But prospects for a global economic recovery remain bleak amid stubborn inflation, rising interest rates and heightened uncertainty.
