






In May, many smelters restarted production after maintenance in early May, while an increasing number of smelters began maintenance in the second half of the month.
There will be significant fluctuations in the supply of lead ingots. According to SMM survey, the enterprises that have completed maintenance in May are mainly medium and large enterprises in Yunnan and Hunan.
The enterprises that plan to conduct maintenance in May are located in Henan, Shandong, Guangdong, Inner Mongolia and Jiangxi, most of which are large enterprises.
SMM expects that the output of refined lead will continue to decline slightly in May, and the average operating rate of primary lead producers will drop by 0.61 percentage point to 68.70%.
