The price of lithium cobalt oxide fell first and then stabilised in April.
At the end of the month, the prices rebounded. At the beginning of the month, the cost of lithium cobalt oxide dropped due to lower traded prices of lithium carbonate and steady tricobalt tetraoxide prices. This lowered lithium cobalt oxide prices. Orders at mobile phone battery factories increased thanks to the 618 Shopping Festival. That, combined with higher lithium carbonate prices, increased shipments of lithium cobalt oxide manufacturers slightly in April, pushing prices higher.
Prices are expected to rise in May.
