SMM Daily Comments (Apr 26): LME Base Metals Prices Rose across the Board, as opposed to SHFE Metals, Coking Coal Plunges

Crude oil futures rose slightly today. As of 15:19 CST, WTI oil rose 0.7% and Brent oil rose 0.56%.

SHANGHAI, Apr 26 (SMM) – Crude oil futures rose slightly today. As of 15:19 CST, WTI oil rose 0.7% and Brent oil rose 0.56%.

The U.S. dollar plunged slightly in the afternoon, and the U.S. dollar index fell 0.33% as of 15:20.

As of the closing of the intraday trading, SHFE lead prices rose 0.23%, SHFE tin and nickel fell about 2%, SHFE copper and zinc dropped about 1%, and SHFE aluminium dipped 0.48%.

On the ferrous metals front, stainless steel and rebar prices closed flat, iron ore fell 0.35%, hot-rolled coil prices skid 0.4%, coke fell 2.06%, and coking coal prices plummeted by 2.83%.

Shanghai gold rose 0.78%, and Shanghai silver fell 0.28%.

SMM Daily Comments (Apr 25): LME Base Metals Prices Fall across the Board, Coke Prices Plunge, Oil Posts 3-day Winning Streak

As of 15:32, LME zinc rose 1.13%, LME copper gained 0.87%, LME tin rose nearly 0.7%, LME aluminium advanced 0.62%, LME nickel rose 0.17%, and LME lead climbed 0.02%.
