Operating Rates of Galvanising Enterprises to Grow Further

SHANGHAI, Mar 16 (SMM) - Last week, the average operating rate of galvanising enterprises added 1.76 percentage points from the previous week to 77.08%. The companies restocked raw materials when zinc prices fell below 23,000 yuan/mt. Two Sessions and environmental protection-related production restrictions in Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong and other places cast a limited impact on large factories. Enterprises in B and C levels reduced or suspended production to varying degrees, and many resumed operation on March 10 with the end of environmental protection-related production control. In addition, the operating rates of terminal companies in south China continued to grow, pushing up the orders of galvanising enterprises. It is expected that the operating rates of galvanising companies may improve this week with the end of the environmental protection-related production restrictions in the north and the increase in the number of terminal projects.
