SHANGHAI, Mar 15 (SMM) – China’s lithium hydroxide market saw a supply surplus of 1,466 mt in February. Lithium hydroxide production increased significantly in February due to the ramp-up of new capacity and causticisation activities, while the recovery of end demand was unable to keep up, exacerbating the supply glut.
It is expected that the oversupply will expand further to 3,183 mt in March as end demand will still lag behind output growth.
