SHANGHAI, Feb 3 (SMM) - In January, the iron ore concentrate output of Beitai Iron Mine reached 24,570 mt, up 1,570 mt from the designed output, which was 1.57 times that of the same period last year. The amount of iron ore recovered in the soil field was 33,200 mt, which was 1.9 times that of the same period last year. The aim of cost reduction and profit cut was achieved. Beitai Iron Mine re-optimised the transportation system and improved the efficiency of ore transportation. In order to overcome the adverse effects of cold weather on production, the mine formulated protection measures so that the daily recovery of iron ore in the soil field can reach more than 1,000 mt. In addition, the mine upgraded the equipment to improve the capacity utilisation rate. At present, the daily output of iron ore concentrates has increased by 21.4%, and the grade of concentrate has reached more than 65%.
