Two EV makers in China have followed the footsteps of Tesla in cutting prices, sparking expectations that the price war will spill over to more EV makers. This will force battery makers to develop more competitive batteries.   

Since 2022, mainstream battery companies including CATL, SVOLT Energy, EVE Energy, Guoxuan Hi-Tech, and Sunwoda have successively launched M3P battery, high-manganese iron nickel battery, lithium manganese iron phosphate battery, and sodium batteries in an attempt to reduce costs.
