Chinese Automobile Making Industry Saw Higher Value-added in 2022

In December 2022, the added value of the automobile manufacturing industry decreased by 5.9% year-on-year, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

SHANGHAI, Jan 17 — In December 2022, the added value of the automobile manufacturing industry decreased by 5.9% year-on-year, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

In 2022, the added value of the automobile manufacturing industry increased by 6.3% year-on-year, 1.4 percentage points lower than that from January to November, and 2.7 percentage points higher than that of large scale industries in the same period.
