BYD's Cumulative Sales of New Energy Vehicles Have Exceeded 3.37 Million Units

SHANGHAI, Jan 5 In the autumn of 2022, BYD became the first car company in China to achieve 3 million new energy vehicles off the assembly line.

SHANGHAI, Jan 5 In the autumn of 2022, BYD became the first car company in China to achieve 3 million new energy vehicles off the assembly line.

In 2022, BYD's annual sales of new energy vehicles exceeded one million units for the first time.

On January 3, BYD announced its latest sales data. In 2022, BYD's cumulative sales of new energy vehicles were 1.86 million units, a year-on-year increase of 209%. So far, BYD has sold more than 3.37 million new energy vehicles.

On the same day, Tesla announced its 2022 delivery data. In 2022, Tesla delivered a total of 1.31 million electric vehicles globally, a year-on-year increase of 40%. It produced a total of 1.37 million electric vehicles worldwide, a year-on-year increase of 47%. Tesla's annual sales also exceeded one million units for the first time, but it failed to achieve the previously set annual sales target of 1.5 million units.

As of now, BYD is the first brand in China that registers a monthly sales of more than 100,000 new energy passenger vehicles, and its monthly sales have exceeded 200,000 units for four consecutive months.
