SMM blast furnace operating rates averaged 92.57% as of October 26, up 0.89 percentage point on a weekly basis. The average capacity utilisation rate stood at 93.35%, up 0.88 percentage point as the steel mills in north China resumed the production in a centralised manner.

SHANGHAI, Oct 26 (SMM) – SMM blast furnace operating rates averaged 92.57% as of October 26, up 0.89 percentage point on a weekly basis. The average capacity utilisation rate stood at 93.35%, up 0.88 percentage point as the steel mills in north China resumed the production in a centralised manner. The daily pig iron output among SMM sample steel mills recorded 2.23 million mt, up 21,100 mt from a week ago. The estimated daily pig iron output across all steel mills in China totalled 2.66 million mt, up 25,100 mt week-on-week.
