SHANGHAI, Jul 21 (SMM) – According to SMM statistics, there are currently 93 blast furnaces under maintenance as of July 21, engaging a combined volume of 108,100 m³ and pig iron production of 330,900 mt/day, down 11,000 mt/day from July 20.
In the following week, four blast furnaces will newly commence maintenance, reducing the pig iron production by 16,700 mt/day; while another three will resume the production, with a daily production of 11,500 mt.
SMM will keep monitoring domestic blast furnace operating rates as a number of resumption plans have not yet been disclosed.
