SHANGHAI, June 1 (SMM) - On May 25, the high-carbon ferrochrome in Inner Mongolia was quoted at 9,400-9,600 yuan/mt (Cr50%) today, flat (Cr50%) from the previous trading day. The transaction in the ferrochrome market was weak. Although the quotation remained stable, the actual transaction priced declined slightly. Recently, the transaction of chrome ore was poor, and the prices were stable. The coke prices completed four rounds of decline. The change in the electricity prices in the light wind season in Inner Mongolia was small, while the electricity prices in Sichuan reduced in the rainy season and the cost support weakened.
In addition, the operating rates of ferrochrome enterprises were high in the past month. Although some ferrochrome plants reduced the production due to recent cost and equipment maintenance, it is difficult to change the current situation of loose supply. Ferrochrome prices are expected to d decline recently.
