SHANGHAI, May 30 (SMM) - On May 30, prices of #6517 silico-manganese in the north China market were quoted at 8,150-8,350 yuan/mt in cash, and 8,150-8,400 yuan/mt in cash in the south China market. Approaching the steel bidding at the end of the month, the inquiries picked up, while the transaction was slack. In addition, at present, due to the weak downstream demand and the oversupply, the market is not optimistic about the steel bidding. On the whole, with the support of costs, silico-manganese plants were not willing to lower their prices. In the short term, the prices of silico-manganese will remain weak but stable.
